VB Tutorial: Micro Plant Tracker

Hi VB Community!

Today I’m going to show you how to make a Micro Plant Tracker featuring items from the Plant Mama VBKit. I was really excited for this kit because I’m proud of my plants I’ve been able to keep alive so far and thought this was a cute way to keep track of them and some tips about them.

Materials:

Plant Mama Journaling Card (will be the front cover)
Cardstock Paper (will be the back cover)
4 Discs
Laminating Sheets and Laminator (I used 3mil size)
Disc Hole Punch
Other Plant Mama Goodies (Page Flags, Adhesive Pockets, Paper Clips, Stickers)
Double-sided tape
Pictures of your plants

First, cut the journaling card down to 3.5 x 4.5 inches for the front cover. Then cut two pieces of cardstock to 3.5 x 4.5 inches to cover up the backside of the journaling card and for the back cover.

Next, put some double-sided tape on the back of the journaling card and stick it to one of the pieces of cardstock.

Then, put the front and back covers in a laminating pouch and run it through the laminator.

Next, punch the covers with a disc hole punch and put your discs on. I thought the rose gold discs went perfect with these kit colors.

Next, customize your Micro Plant Tracker. I attached the Page Flags to a discbound clear plastic bookmark I already had. You could also attach them to a piece of cardstock or regular clear plastic. I added the Acrylic Washi Card Keychain to this bookmark. I also attached one of the Adhesive Pockets to the inside of my front cover to hold some stickers.

I added a clear pocket onto one of the pieces of cardstock from the packaging to hold my transparent cards. I also added a white elastic pen holder onto my back cover.

Finally, I printed out some pictures of my plants and taped them onto some paper. I titled them, then put some tips for taking care of them on the back of the page.
